Our team is led by Terence (Terry) Farr, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, CCIM, R/W-AC with 18+ years of appraisal and review experience covering a majority of property types. Terry's experience and local expertise is rooted in the Las Vegas valley, with some analyses performed for properties in California, Arizona and Utah. Prior to founding Farr Valuation, Inc. in November 2022, Terry was a Vice President of the Valuation & Advisory Services within the Mountain Northwest region in the Las Vegas office since 2013. Terry was an independent fee appraiser at Timothy R. Morse and Associates (now Morse-Krueger and Associates) from 2008-2013. His career started in 2005 at Nevada State Bank as a Review Appraiser.
Terry is an Appraisal Institute Multi-Designated Appraiser (MAI, SRA, and AI–GRS), CCIM Institute Designated Member (CCIM–Certified Commercial Investment Member), and International Right of Way Designated Member (R/W-AC - Right of Way/Appraisal Certified). He has served on several committees within the local Appraisal Institute Chapter and served as a Candidate Advisor from 2013 to 2022. He has served on the Clark County Board of Equalization since January 2016 and will continue to serve as Vice–Chair through December 31, 2023. In this capacity, Terry is the chair for the Commercial Real Estate and Personal Property hearings. Terry was elected to the CCIM Southern Nevada Chapter Board of Directors for 2024 and serves the IRWA Chapter 44 as Social Media Chair.
Terry was previously ARGUS AE Software Certified (through May 2022). He taught the Real Estate Valuation course (RE 333) at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas (UNLV) in the Fall semester of 2021 and will teach again in the Fall semester of 2023. He was appointed to the Appraisal Advisory Review Committee (AARC) for the State of Nevada Real Estate Division in January 2022.
